Military boundary system construction project using AI-based image and sound analysis technology
After going through the manufacturing and inspection process of the AI alert system using sound sources, the military trial operation started around October

On June 15, IVS (CEO Bae Young-hoon), a company specializing in AI-based intelligent video and sound analysis, signed a contract with the Defense Acquisition Program Administration for a rapid pilot acquisition project worth KRW 1.1 billion for ‘AI boundary system using sound source’.

The AI alert system using sound source is a system that can dramatically improve the alert capabilities of our military by applying artificial intelligence technology that recognizes video and audio in a complex way. In this system, an intelligent server learned through deep learning identifies whether an object in the CCTV video is an animal or a human, and it plays a role in notifying the control room immediately when a person approaches a friendly border area or a fence.

In particular, even when a person approaches from hiding, it has a function to analyze the sound pattern collected through the sound source detector to detect the approach direction, and to allow the interlocked camera to control the detection direction intensively. By continuously learning the data collected from the field, the detection performance continues to improve over time.

IVS CEO Bae Young-hoon said, “If the military utility of IVS’ ‘intelligent sound source and image analysis technology’ applied to this pilot project is proven and applied to the military, IVS’ AI technology will help improve the military’s surveillance and vigilance capabilities. It will make a big contribution.” In addition, it is predicted that the application market for these technologies will be greatly opened.

Meanwhile, the Defense Industry Agency announced in a media report that it would carry out a military pilot operation around October after going through the manufacturing and inspection process of the AI alert system using sound sources.
